Local competition coaches

Thank you. Local comp coaches are the backbone of the association — the people who give a Tuesday night every week so ten kids can play.

What we ask of you

• Complete the free online community coaching modules before your first season, and hold a Working With Children Check if you’re over 18
• Play man-to-man defence and give every player court time
• Model respect for referees — many are 13 and learning, just like your players
• Know the competition by-laws and codes of conduct

What we give you

• Subsidised Competition Coach course places when they run at the Snakepit
• Coaching resources and session templates
• Our coach development series — short clinics on shooting, defence and session design, which also earn Coach Development Points
• A pathway to representative coaching if you want it
