Representative coaches

Junior Hawks coaches are appointed annually ahead of trials. Head coaches must hold Competition Coach accreditation at minimum (Representative Coach preferred for Division 1), a current Working With Children Check, and be committed to the full season including Basketball NSW tournaments and State Championships.

Applying

Expressions of interest for the coming season open in the second half of each year and are announced in News. Applications are reviewed by the Head of Representative Basketball. Email development@snakepit.com.au with your coaching history if you’d like to be notified.

Support

Rep coaches receive a season plan framework, access to Basketball Illawarra’s style-of-play curriculum, Representative Coach course subsidies, and regular coach development sessions with the NBL1 staff.
