ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS ACCEPTED. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to apply for 2021 voucher 2 that was available 1 July. Be sure to use before they expire at the end of the year, email voucher to be applied to a competition fee invoice.
Season 2021/22 will be a little different to the norm. With a short time frame, there will be pre-season and regular season games.
PRE-SEASON (1 November – 3 December)
A chance to return to court for teams ready to play.
- No ladder recorded or winner declared.
Nominations close 19 October. Nominations after this date may not be guaranteed until December.
REGULAR SEASON (6 December – 8 April) during school terms
To ensure those that miss the October deadline a chance to be able to return this year.
- No Finals
- 1st place at the end of the last round will be declared Premiers.
Nominations close 20 November
A few key changes moving forward from the 2021/22 season;
- Year of birth groupings changeover effective for summer seasons and carry through until the end of the following winter season for all players.
- Players may only nominate in one division in an age group.
REGISTRATION
All players must have a valid registration for insurance purposes. Registration fee is annual Basketball NSW/Illawarra membership and sports injury insurance. Valid for 12 months from payment.
New players please do not register until team is confirmed and/or the week prior to start date. REGISTER HERE
Current players may already have a valid registration. Renewal reminders are emailed from GameDay (these may filter to junk mail). You can check your registration status by logging into www.member.basketball.net.au
COMPETITION FEE
Invoiced and emailed from MYOB to parent/guardian nominated email address. Due 21 days from the invoice date.
ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHER

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
All coaches and team contacts 18 years and older must provide a valid Working with Children Check. Email your WWCC along with your date of birth for verification to competitions@snakepit.com.au
To obtain a WWCC apply online https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check it is free for volunteers.
TEAM CONTACTS
Two team contacts are required to;
- Relay any communication from the office to all team members.
- Check weekly availability of players to ensure a team can take the court.
UNIFORMS
Matching singlets numbered front and back from 00 – 99.
Basketball shorts (no pockets) same solid colour back and front, not necessarily the same colour as singlet.

NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS FOR A TEAM?
Minimum of 7 players is required for a team.
NOMINATE TEAM
If your team requires an additional one or two players, nominate your team via the above link and email team list. We can assist completing the team by placing individuals looking to play. Contact details will be exchanged to ensure all can acquaint and there is sufficient time to organise uniforms prior to the start of the competition.
NOMINATE PLAYERS
If you only have 3 or 4 players, email list of available players. We can assist by either merging teams or placing individuals looking to play. Team contact person will then be required to nominate team online. Parent/Guardian contact details will be exchanged with team contact person.
NOMINATE INDIVDUALLY
Email competitions@snakepit.com.au for an EOI form.
